The 2008 version of the ASCLD/LAB Legacy Accreditation Manual is the current version. Laboratories applying for accreditation for the first time or laboratories applying for renewal of accreditation may use either the 2005 manual or the 2008 manual prior to March 15, 2008. All applications submitted after March 15, 2008, must be submitted using the standards and forms of the 2008 manual.

The initial purchase of the ASCLD/LAB accreditation manual is accomplished by purchasing a license agreement.
